New students, who haven’t received a username and password for Ugla, please read the following instructions.

1. Your application form should be filled out on: http://hi.is/
2. A web-key (veflykill) will appear after the registration (applicants should remember to save and print the web-key). The Web-key is also sent to your email given on your application. If paid at the registration office the web-key should  be on the receipt.
3. When you receive the web-key you can go to the webpage: nynemar.hi.is (direct link: https://ugla.hi.is/nk/nemendaskraningar/nynemastada.php) and log on by using the web-key and your social security number (kennitala).
4. After you have payed the tuition fee you can get your username and password by logging on to nynemar.hi.is and a new link appears with a star, which gives you the access to your user information. Please be aware that this information will only appear once and should therefore be saved immediately e.g. by copy- paste.

Note! It takes approximately 2 hours, after you receive your account information, before your it is activated and you can log on.

It happens a few times that a given password does not work together with a username. For that reason you need a new password which can be provided at the IT Help desk on Háksólatorg. This only applies for those who have completed the process above.
