An IP address is the number of your computer on the Internet. Various accesses is being controlled through the IP address e.g. IP addresses on campus give access to the library’s (Landsbókasafn) databases while other people have to pay for this access.
All computers connecting to the Internet get an IP address and no two computers/ device have identical IP address.
