Here you can see how to connect your computer to the wireless network (HINET) on
campus. First you need to register your computer on Ugla, see: http://www.rhi.hi.is/en/wireless_connection
1. Click the Internet icon (arrows up and down) in the
upper right corner and select HINET.
2. A window pops up that asks you for a key. Put in the
key 12345 and click Connect.

Students are now able to register two computers (or phone/device) to the wireless Internet. Start by logging on to Ugla (ugla.hi.is) and choose "Computer services" and "Internet connections", then click "Wireless Internet cancel".

1. Make sure all the cords are connected in the right places. The thinner end on the phone cord (nr. 1, picture1.) need to be connected to a phone point in the wall and the broader end should be connected to the grey whole in the router. The yellow whole (nr. 3) is for the internet cord, which has two broad ends. The other broad end needs to be connected to the wall. Picture 1. Connecting the phone cord and internet cord.

Usually you don’t have to adjust the Proxy settings in order to browse the internet but in a few occasions you might have to. On the left are instructions for proxy settings in Firefox or Internet Explorer.
Here you can see instructions on how to connect Windows 7 computers to available eduroam connection. You only have to make the adjustments the first time you connect:
1. Click the icon for wireless internet in the lower right corner on the screen. Then click “Open Network and Sharing Center”
2. Click “Manage wireless networks”
